Description

A compact formulation of the large angle multiple scattering problem is presented. The formalism is derived from group theoretical considerations of stochastic processes. It leads to a simple formula for the multiple scattering probability which compares very favourably with more classical treatments of the problem by its simplicity and lack of dependence on approximations.
