A Simple Vacuum-Insulated Line and its Performance. Dragon Project Report

Description

The construction of a vacuum-insulated metal pipeline is described and the performance derived from a simple experiment. The overall heat influx including end effects when carrying liquid nitrogen is 5 watts per metre for a length of 3 metres, or 0.8 watts per metre across the annulus only. (author)
