Phase composition and electric conductivity of HfO2-Y2O3 solid solutions, containing 2.5-7 mol. % Y2O3

Description
The phase composition and electroconductivity of samples of the HfO2-Y2O3 system, containing 2.5-7 mol. % Y2O3, are studied. It is shown that by increase in the Y2O3 content the structure of the source powders changes from the two-phase up to the single phase one. The powder, containing 5 mol. % Y2O3 is close by its structural characteristics to the powder on the basis of ZrO2 with 3 mol. % Y2O3, having tetragonal structure
