Thermal diffusivity and heat conductivity of 3d-transition elements in solid and luquid states

  • 1. Sverdlovskij Gornyj Inst. (USSR)

Description

Results of measuring thermal diffusivity of eight 3d-transition elements at high temperatures including the liquid state regions near the melting point are presented. The temperature dependences of thermal conductivity coefficients for these elements are calculated. The character of anomalies of the kinetic properties near the phase transition points is studied in details. It is shown that conductivity coefficients at room temperatures essentially depending on the electron state density and for 3d-series metals differing for more than 50 times at room temperatures near the melting point both in liquid and solid states become practically similar
