Description
The chiral hyperbag model recently constructed and suitably quantized is applied to the calculation of ΔI=1 baryon mass splittings induced by the up-down current quark mass difference, with a particular emphasis on the proton-neutron mass difference. The results are in good agreement with the observed values. (orig.)
