Electron emission from metal-film systems under atomic particle bombardment

Processes of potential and kinetic electron emission of film systems (Cs, Na and Ba on the Mo substrate) depending on emitter properties have been considered. Measurements of emission coefficients and energy spectra of electrons when controlling the surface work function and its purity have been performed for the Na, Cs, Ba systems on the Mo substrate during the bombardment with 50 eV He+, Ar+ and Kr+ ions. The results obtained have been discussed from the point of view of representations of electron- adsorption processes
