On a possible mechanism of the eta-meson inclusive production in hadron-hadron collistions
Description
The mechanism of the eta-mesons inclusive production in hadron-hadron collisions based on the idea of production in the process of gluons coalescence of colliding hadrons of the G(1590)-meson mostly decaying by channels containing eta-mesons is proposed. The inclusive production cross section of eta-mesons σsub(eta)sup(incl.) in pp and pp tilde collisons which is given approximately by the expression deltasub(eta)sup(incl.)=4.5(ln(s)Msub(G)sup(2))-4.6x10sup(-28) cm2 is estimated. For collider energies (√s=540 GeV) deltasub(eta)sup(incl) approximately equal to 3.2 mbarn which leads to the value of eta mesons yield in pp tilde collisions, proximate to that observed in the experiment
