Recombination luminescence of NaI-Tl crystals

Description
It has been found that the increase of thallium content in NaI crystals results in the formation of not only Tl+-and (Tl+)2 luminescence centers but of more complex activator centers (Tlsub(+))sub(n) - (n being more than 2). It has been shown that, besides main Tl+ centers, more complex thallium centers take part in recombination luminescence of NaI-Tl crystals. These more complex centers are more deeper traps both for electrons and for holes (compared with Tl+-centers)
