Relativistic study of the Λ-hypernuclei

Description
A phenomenological relativistic analysis of the ground and excited state binding energies of a Λ particle in hypernuclei determined by recent (π+, K+) experiments is made using various Λ-nucleus potentials. The r.m.s. radii of the orbits of the Λ-particle in Λ-hypernuclei are also determined. Finally the relativistic results are compared to the non-relativistic ones using as an example the potential U±(r) = -U±(cosh(r/R))-1. (author)
