Formation enthalpy of thulium dichloride

Description
EMF of (-)Sr/SrCl2//BaCl2//TmCl2/Tm(+) and (-)Ca/CaCl2//BaCl2//TmCl2/Tm(+) solid-phase galvanic elements is measured. Experimental data are processed according to the third law of thermodynamics with application of the published values of thermodynamic properties of participants of EMF-forming reactions. Value of formation enthalpy for ΔfH0(TmCl2, crys.,298.15 K)=-712.9±2.9 kJ·mol-1 is obtained
