High-beta plasma confinement in the tokamak configuration
Description
Tokamak magnetic field configurations with toroidal or poloidal divertors can be adapted for high-β plasma confinement by means of an energetic-electron layer, mirror-trapped in a flux region that extends across the divertor separatrix. (author)
