Preparation of thin self-supporting metallic Mg isotope targets with 50 μg/cm2 thickness by rolling technique
Description
Self-supporting Mg isotope targets as thin as 50 μg/cm2 were prepared by reduction evaporation and rolling techniques from Mg oxide. The foils prepared by this method were satisfactorily pure and uniform and were also strong enough to resist mechanical shock and for beam irradiation. (author)
