Development of high field superconductors at BBC
Description
BBC and the Swiss Superconductor Consortium started the development of Nb3Sn-filamentary superconductors on the basis of the external diffusion technique. This development was taken over and continued by the Swiss Institute for Nuclear Research (SIN) also in collaboration with firms of the Consortium. With this technique, 1000 m composite superconductor were manufactured by SIN. These superconductors are described
