Study of the probability of fission of the isotopes of Sn and 140Ce by 12C and 20Ne ions
- 1. Joint Institute for Nuclear Research
Description
Integrated cross sections and fragment angular distributions have been measured in the reaction (12C, f) in the isotopes 112Sn, 118Sn, 124Sn, and 140Ce in the carbon-ion energy range 86--110 MeV and in the reaction 124Sn(20Ne, f) in the range of 20Ne ion energies 104--120 MeV. The heights of the fission barriers of 124Ba, 130Ba, 136Ba, 144Nd, 152Gd, and 153Tb are determined and are compared with theoretical calculations
