Highlights: • We investigate the transmittance properties of 1D n doped semiconductor PCs. • The numerical results are investigated based on the characteristic matrix method. • The doping concentration has a distinct effect on the transmittance properties. • The proposed structure could be used as a multi-channel optical filter.
