New phases in R-Co-Sn ternary systems and their magnetic and electric properties
Description
Phase analysis of ternary systems Y-Co-Sn, Gd-Co-Sn, Lu-Co-Sn is carrier out. Ternary compounds R6Co2Sn, which are in equilibrium with phases R4Co3, R3Co, R5Sn3 and with rare earth metal, are detected. R2Co2Sn compounds are also detected in systems R-Co-Sn, where R=Sm, Tb-Tm. In systems, where R=La-Nd, chemical compounds are not detected. Lattice parameters of R6Co2Sn compounds, values of specific conductivity, thermo emf and magnetic susceptibility are determined. 15 refs.; 3 figs.; 2 tabs
