Method for preparation of specifically tritium-labelled 5α-androst-16-ene-3-one
Description
A method is described for preparing 3H-labelled 5α-androst-16-ene-3-one of high specific activity, needed to a growing extent in agricultural research institutions for radioimmunoassay of the boar pheromone 5α-androst-16-ene-3-one. A storable and easily accessible 16-androstene is subjected to reductive catalytic tritiation and, in two further stages, converted into the target product
