Description
The investigation results of some detection properties of muscovite mica as a heavy ion detector are presented. The temperature dependence of the etching rate; the anisotropy structure influence of a mica crystal on the detection critical angle, on the track density and their etched length; the thermal stability of the latent tracks of different ion types; the range deficit size of different ions are studied. A possibility of ion and fission fragment identification by the annealing method is shown. (author). 16 refs., 12 figs., 1 tab
