ECG synchronized cardiac CT by data-sorting method

  • 1. Chiba Univ. (Japan). School of Medicine

Description

ECG synchronized cardiac computed tomography (CT) by data-sorting method with a JEOL dynamic scanner is described. The clinical application of the technique and the results are shown. Advantages and disadvantages of the data-sorting method are clarified and the results are compared with the results obtained by other methods. Dyskinesis of the cardiac wall can be diagnosed by dynamic observation of synchronized cardiac CT images (in which the R-R intervals from cycle to cycle are subdivided into 4 or 5 phases). The possibility that dyskinesis of the regional cardiac wall may be found semiquantitatively by the description of dynamic changes in the area is suggested. (Namekawa, K.)
