Massive superparticle in (2+1) dimensions and Polyakov's Fermi-Bose transmutations
Description
The massive superparticle action presented recently describes, in (2+1)-dimensional spacetime, a massive Dirac fermion. It is shown that integration of the fermionic variables in this action leads precisely to the phase factor which effects Fermi-Bose transmutations in a model recently discussed by Polyakov. A generalization of this phase factor for higher spacetime dimensions is also obtained. (orig.)
