Thermal modelling in sedimentary basins

The conference is focused on the state of the art in ''Thermal Modelling'', i.e. on the various concepts and techniques useful to reconstruct or constrain quantitatively the history of temperatures in extensional sedimentary basins. These are three-fold, which correspond to the three parts of this volume: 1) modelling the geodynamic evolution; 2) heat transfer in sediments (porosity and compaction, heat flow and water flow, conductivities, permeabilities, radioactive heat generation in sediments and examples of thermal reconstructions; 3) control by geochemical methods.
