Formation of nanostructuring carbon on steel modificated by high power ion beam of nanosecond duration

Description

Influence preliminary high power ion beam treatment of steel target (12HN3A, St. 3, St. 20, St. 45) on morphology and structure carbon layer deposited DC PE CVD method with using C2H2/H2 gas mixture was investigated. Carbon nanotube growth on surface St. 3 and St. 20 irradiated by high power ion beam with ion current density 50 and 100 A/sm2 was founded. The possible mechanisms of formation of catalytic nanoparticles at high power ion beam treatment of steel was considered. (authors)
