Results of ceramography and beta autoradiography from BR 2 - P8
Description
Automatic translation: The BH2-P8 irradiation experiment was designed as a coating study for particles with SiC interlayer. The 'methane' and 'propene' particles embedded in coupons had reached a burn-off of about 14 % fima at temperatures around 1300°C and accumulated fast fluences around 9x10'2'1ncm'-'2. Ceramographic post-examination shows the superiority of the ''propene'' particles over the ''methane'' particles. The variation of the buffer layer thickness and the core diameter had a strong effect. The growth rate of the outer HDI layers influences the irradiation behaviour of these layers. The matrix material can be shown to have a supporting function on the particle.
Abstract (German)
Das Bestrahlungsexperiment BH2-P8 war als Beschichtungsstudie für Partikeln mit SiC-Zwischenschicht ausgelegt. Die in Coupons eingebetteten Methan- und Propen-Partikeln hatten bei Temperaturen um 1300°C einen Abbrand von etwa 14 % fima erreicht und schnelle Fluenzen um 9x1021ncm-2 akkumuliert. Die keramografische Nachuntersuchung zeigt die Überlegenheit der ''Propen''-Partikeln gegenüber den ''Methan''-Partikeln. Stark hat sich die Variation der Pufferschichtdicke bzw. des Kerndurchmessers ausgewirkt. Die Aufwachsgeschwindigkeit der äußeren HDI-Schichten beeinflußt das Bestrahlungsverhalten dieser Schichten. Dem Matrixmaterial sind Stützfunktionen auf das Partikel nachzuweisen.Files
