Interaction of components and crystallization of surface compounds in supported CoO-MoO3-Al2O3 catalysts

Description

X-ray diffraction method was used to study catalysts prepared by gradual and simultaneous application of Mo and Co compounds on #betta#-Al2O3 from aqueous solutions. It was shown that during the precipitation of cobalt on aluminomolybdenum substrate with thermal treatment at 823-1023 K the introduction of cobalt into the surface compound of molybdenum with aluminium takes place. The phase composition of CoO-MoO2-Al2O3 depending on the temperature of the facking was determined. It was established that the significant increase of the part of crystallized cobalt molybdate was achieved during the coprecipitation introduction of compounds of cobalt and molybdenum. The results obtained enable to prescribe for CoO-MoO3 catalysts the required relation of crystalline and amorphous phases and the structure of crystalline phase
