Condensation shape changes of metallic crystals after the thermal field treatment

  • 1. AN SSSR, Leningrad. Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst.

Description

Field electron microscopy has been employed to establish that the surface of the tips of the tungsten single crystals with thermo-field macrooutgrowths demonstrate the same condensation changes as those on the smooth annealing tip, that is, irregular deposit, replication, and isolated crystal outgrowths. On the surface of the built up tips the stages of the irregular deposit are revealed weaker and the isolated crystal outgrowths dissappear with increasing build-up, whereas the replication remains
