Antianginal effect of calcium antagonists and intracardiac hemodynamics
Description
Hemodynamic aspects of antiangial effect of calcium antagonists (verapamil in 15 patients and nifidepine in 18 patients) were studied in patients with exertional angina pectoris at rest and during physical exercise. The intracardial hemodynamics indicies of all patients were estimated through radionuclide equilibrium ventriculography both at rest and under maximum physical loading using albumine labelled with 99Tc-pertechnetate. An increase of minute volume of the left ventricle was observed when using both calcium antagonists, both at rest and during exercise
