Formation of water in a Li2O bed at hydrogen addition to purge gas
- 1. Kyushu Univ., Fukuoka (Japan). Dept. of Nuclear Engineering
Description
It has been proposed to make use of the isotope exchange reaction for the enhancement of the tritium release rate from the blanket material. However, it is found by the present authors that formation of water in a lithium oxide bed occurs in the course of the isotope exchange reaction experiments using He sweep gas with hydrogen isotopes. In the present paper, brief discussions about formation of water in the lithium oxide bed is reported. (orig./MM)
