Study of the IPR-R1 dynamics by means of reactivity pseudo-aleatory excitations

Description

Aiming to demonstrate the feasibility of using the reactor noise neutronic analysis tecniques a dynamic model was developed for the IPR-R1 reactor at CDTN. This model allows reactivity feedback, due to the variations of fuel and coolant temperature. The system was excited by the variations of reactivity modulated by a pseudo aleatory binary sequence and its answer was measured by means of the fluctuactions dround the stationary power. The model developed and the technique used was tested, and the values of the system parameters obtained from the adjustment of the theoretical and experimental transfer function were compared to another, obtained from independent process. Abstract (Portuguese)

Para se demonstrar a viabilidade de utilizacao de tecnicas de analise de ruido neutronico em reatores, foi desenvolvido para o reator IPR-R1 do Centro de Desenvolvimento da Tecnologia Nuclear da NUCLEBRAS, um modelo dinamico que admite realimentacoes de reatividade devidas a variacoes de temperatura do combustivel e do refrigerante. O sistema foi excitado atraves de variacoes de reatividade moduladas por uma sequencia binaria pseudo-aleatoria e sua resposta foi medida por meio das flutuacoes resultantes em torno da potencia estacionaria. Como teste do modelo desenvolvido e das tecnicas utilizadas, valores de parametros do sistema, obtidos atraves de ajuste das funcoes de transferencia teorica e experimental, foram comparados a outras determinacoes, efetuadas por processos independentes.
