Numerical comparisons of various pre-conditioners for the conjugate gradient method on CRAY 1-S and CDC CYBER 205

Description
The aim of this paper is the efficient use of the conjugate gradient method to solve symmetric linear systems on vector computers. Several vectors pre-conditioners are reviewed and a new one is suggested. Numerical experiments are given for CRAY 1-S and CDC CYBER 205. (author)

On considere l'utilisation de la methode du gradient conjugue pour resoudre des systemes lineaires symetriques sur des machines vectorielles. On presente plusieurs preconditionnements vectoriels et on compare leur efficacite sur le CRAY 1-S et le CDC CYBER 205. (auteur)Files
