Radiochemical solvent extraction of La(III) with cupferron into chloroform using 140La tracer (Paper No. AR-07)
Description
A rapid method has been developed for the extraction of La(III) using 140La with cupferron into chloroform. Effect of various parameters such as pH, time of equilibration, nature of solvents, effect of diverse ions has been studied. Metal to ligand ratio has been found to be 1:4 on the basis of which the nature of extracted species may be [La(Cupferron)4]-. This method can be used for the determination of La in microgram amounts. (author). 1 tab
