Local characteristic of the tungsten fermi surface

Description
We present a ''first-principle'' calculation method for evaluating the local band-electron properties at the Fermi surface, viz. electron velocity and curvature. The calculations are performed for the specific case of tungsten. The electron velocity anisotropy is analysed and the calculated data are compared with experiment. The zero-curvature points of the Fermi surface are found as well as the critical sound absorption directions
