Direct CP violation and radiative decays

Description

In this series of slides the author reviews the last results an what can be expected in a near future of the Babar experiment at the PEP-II facility. No significant signal of direct CP violation has ever been seen in Babar but continuous analysis improvements may allow it soon. Babar's result on K0π+ is A(CP) = -0.17±0.10±0.02 which is inconsistent with Belle experiment at 3 σ level. Upper limits have been improved for B → K+K0, K*I+I- (where I = e, μ) and ργ. Now we can observe: B → KI+I-, π+π-. Results show that: B(B → KI+I-) equals 0.84(+0.30-0.24+0.10-0.18)10-6 and B(B → K*I+I-) equals 1.89(+0.84-0.72±0.31)10-6. Study of rare decay modes is just starting
