Measurement of current profile in a noncircular tokamak TNT

Description
Plasma current density profile in a noncircular tokamak TNT is obtained from the direct measurements of the poloidal magnetic field. Magnetic probes are inserted to measure the poloidal magnetic field in the plasma in a low current operation. The elongation ratio epsilon estimated from these measurements is about 1.8 at the current peak and decreases with time due to the current peaking. (author)
