Bone scintigraphy with Tc-sup(99m) MDP

Description
Forty examinations (38 cases) bone scintigraphy with sup(99m) Tc-MDP (methylene diphosphonate) were performed and the results were summarized in this article. In 19 examinations excellent images were obtained. Twelve were good and 5 were fair images. In 13 examinations the scintigrams were judged positive, in 3 were judged equivocal and remains showed no abnormal findings in their scintigrams. Skeletal images with sup(99m) Tc-MDP obtained 2 hours after injection were as excellent as the images of 3 hours after injection and the blood clearance of sup(99m) Tc-MDP were very fast. sup(99m) Tc-MDP is a good radiopharmaceutical for skeletal imaging and no side effects were brought out in our clinical cases.
