Liquid metal/water heat exchanger with replaceable tube bundles
Description
The invention relates to an improvement of liquid metal-water exchangers used in nuclear power plants with the purpose of reducing the time needed to replace faulty tubes or components and to repair defects. For this purpose it is suggested to arrange the vertical tube bundles, each of which is surrounded by a shell open at the top and the bottom, so as to make them and the shell removable from the top and to close the free cross section between the inner vessel wall and the outer shell wall. Other advantageous designs are indicated, above all those protecting the cold feedwater tubes from the hot metal. (UWI)

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verbesserung an Fluessigmetall-Wasser-Waermeaustauschern, die bei Kernenergieanlagen verwendet werden, mit dem Ziel, die Zeit zum Auswechseln schadhafter Rohre oder Teile bzw. die Beseitigung eines aufgetretenen Schadens sehr herabzusetzen. Dazu wird vorgeschlagen, die senkrechten Rohrbuendel, die jeweils von einem oben und unten offenen Mantel umgeben sind, samt dem Mantel nach oben auswechselbar anzuordnen und den freien Querschnitt zwischen Behaelterinnenwand und Mantelaussenwand zu schliessen. Weitere zweckmaessige Ausgestaltungen, die vor allem den Schutz der kalten Speisewasserrohre vor dem heissen Metall dienen, sind angegeben. (UWI)Files
