Eu(III)-Zn(II) extraction separation
Description
The S(Eu(III)/Zn(II)) separation factors and the europium distribution coefficient DEu were determined in dependence on pH and NH4Cl concentration. Used for the extraction was a 1 M solution of di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid in Nivol 2. After the separation of the aqueous and organic phases, equilibrium concentrations were determined of hydrogen ions and Eu and Zn concentrations in the refined product and the extract. (E.J.). 2 tabs
