Radiative decays of scalar mesons as a test of their structure
Description
Radiative decays of the scalar mesons delta and Ssup(*) are compared in the two- and four-quark models. Predictions of these models are essentially different. In particular, they predict opposite relations between the production cross sections sigma(γγ→(delta sup(0), Ssup(*))→rhoγ) and sigma(γγ→(deltasup(0), Ssup(*))→ωγ). These may surve as a good experimental test of the nature of scalar mesons
