Description
The usual formulation of artificial-viscosity is consistent with the Rankine-Hugoniot relations relying the two states of a shock discontinuity. We used a more accurate method at the neighborhood of such a wave to find a more complete formula even for 3D. The Burnett approximation of the Boltzmann equation gives us such an expression. Eliminating terms which introduce too much diffusion and numerical difficulties, we obtain an extension of the 1-D Von-Neumann-Richtmyer pseudo-viscosity. It has been improved in the case of a Lagrangian scheme. (author)
Abstract (French)
(auteur)Files
