Detection of prostaglandin F 2 α by radio-immunoassay in three South African bryophytes and its relation to the occurrence of polyunsaturated fatty acids

Description
The presence of prostaglandin F2α, and some of its fatty acid precursors, is demonstrated in two mosses and a liverwort. This evidence points futher to the possibility that prostaglandins are common to all living organisms. 1 tab., 25 refs
