Luminescence and exoemission of electrons in LiF crystals under deformation
Description
Spectral, temporal, kinetic and spatial characteristics of deformation-induced luminescence. (DL) bursts and dislocation electron exoemission (DEE) in LiF crystals are investigated. The DL and DEE dislocation nature is proved. It has been found that the burst-like DL at low deformation rates is the crystal surface electroluminescence arising as a result of charge accumulation on the surface of a sample being deformed owing to motion of charged dislocations and subsequent breakdown
