Closing-down of nuclear power stations in the Federal Republic of Germany

Description

The most important results regarding technical operation and expected costs are presented, based on an investigation dealing with a closing-down and complete removal of nuclear power stations with light water reactors, for instance at Biblis A (1204 MW, PWR) and at Brunsbuettel (805 MW, BWR). Two variants, the immediate complete removal of the plant, and the delayed removal after an assured inclosure of about 30 years, are considered. After a rough survey of possible working methods which are available to-day, hints are given for the overall work with a general description of the procedure, including a flow chart. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Es werden die wichtigsten Ergebnisse hinsichtlich technischer Durchfuehrung und zu erwartender Kosten aus einer Untersuchung vorgestellt, die eine Stillegung und totale Beseitigung von Kernkraftwerken mit Leichtwasserreaktoren am Beispiel von Biblis A (1204 MW Druckwasserreaktor) und Brunsbuettel (805 MW Siedewasserreaktor) behandelt. Als Varianten werden jeweils die unmittelbare totale Beseitigung der Anlage sowie eine spaetere Beseitigung nach vorausgehendem etwa 30 Jahre dauernden gesicherten Einschluss betrachtet. Der groben Bestandsaufnahme moeglicher, heute verfuegbarer Arbeitsverfahren folgen Hinweise auf Gesamtarbeiten mit allgemeiner Beschreibung der Vorgehensweise an Hand eines Ablaufplanes. Personalbedarf und Kosten werden dargestellt. (orig.)
