The method of mass-spectrometry has been used to investigate vapor generation in systems: Ln + EuCl2, where Ln = Nd, Gd, Dy, Tm, and Ln + BaCl2, where Ln=Ce, Nd, Sm, Pr, Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu. The quantitative composition of the gas phase has been determined
