Fluctuation conductivity of thin superconducting films of vanadium

  • 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kharkov. Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst. Nizkikh Temperatur

Description

Resistive transitions into a superconducting state are studied in thin films of vanadium (d>Tsub(c), the experimental data on the film excess conductivity are in qualitative and quantitative agreement with the Aslamazov-Larkin theory. There is no Maki-Thompson contribution into the fluctuation conductivity. According to the theory of critical fluctuations of the order parameter, the excess conductivity σ' near Tsub(c) is an exponential function of temperature. There is a considerable difference in the values of effective carrier masses found by the data on σ' for both small fluctuations and critical fluctuations. The difference is within the known-for-vanadium scattering of effective masses for different carrier groups. The causes of differenr resistive behaviour for T>Tsub(c) are discussed
