Description
We propose a boson model for the descriptio of the three major collective bands of nuclei on the basis of the coherent boson representation. Applications to the nuclei 190Pt, 192Pt,238Th and 156Dy indicate that the model is able to reproduce experimental energies in both rotational and vibrational regimes. Quadrupole transitions are investigated for the case of the Pt isotopes assuming a quadrupole operator of an anharmonic structure. (orig.)
