After a general description of the main types of uranium deposits, prospecting and exploration methods are surveyed. Together with a description of the main uranium deposits of the world, the activities of German companies in these regions are pointed out which have the aim to secure the uranium supply of the FRG. Nach einer allgemeinen Darstellung der wichtigsten Uran-Lagerstaettentypen wird ein Ueberblick ueber Prospektions- und Explorationsmethoden gegeben. In Zusammenhang mit der Beschreibung der bedeutendsten Uranlagerstaetten der Welt werden die Aktivitaeten deutscher Gesellschaften in diesen Gebieten deutlich gemacht, den Uranbedarf der BRD sichern zu helfen.
