Critical behavior of the characteristics of hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus interactions depending on the centrality degree of collisions

Description
Correlation between secondary particles produced in high energy hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions are studied using variable Q characterizing centrality of the collision or the disintegration degree of participating nuclei. The results indicate that there is a critical value Q=Q* at which the change in the reaction dynamics takes place. A formation of percolation clusters was suggested as one of the reasons of the critical behavior of the event characteristics near Q*. An anomalous peak in the angular distributions of slow protons produced in π-+12C interactions at momenta of 40 GeV/c and 5 GeV/c with Q*=4 provides an additional support for the existence of such critical behavior
