Description

Environmental radioactivity monitoring and taking of measures are represented as important components of emergency planning for a nuclear accident. The tasks of monitoring and the relevant measuring, evaluation and information techniques are explained. Official monitoring systems developed on the basis of legal foundations in Germany are introduced, and their stage of implementation is reported. Finally, the integration of these monitoring systems into the national and international information networks is described. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Die Ueberwachung der Umweltradioaktivitaet und das Ergreifen von Massnahmen werden als wichtige Komponenten des Notfallschutzes in einem nuklearen Ereignisfall dargestellt. Es werden die Aufgaben der Ueberwachung sowie die dafuer verfuegbaren Mess-, Auswerte- und Informationstechniken erlaeutert. Die auf der Basis der gesetzlichen Grundlagen in Deutschland entwickelten amtlichen Ueberwachungssysteme werden vorgestellt und ueber ihren Realisierungsstand berichtet. Schliesslich wird die Einbindung dieser Ueberwachungssysteme in die nationalen und internationalen Informations-Netzwerke dargestellt. (orig.)
