Energy dependence of the electoproduction of vector mesons

Description
The energy dependence of the electroproduction of vector mesons is analyzed. Two pomeron model is used assuming that the soft and the hard pomerons are two Regge poles. In the analysis, a Regge amplitude for the photoproduction processes is extended to include the electroproduction processes. In this case the residues of the two poles are assumed to be functions of the photon virtuality. These functions are extracted by fitting the experimental data using the chi- square method. The variation of cross section with energy for different photon virtuality can be obtained by including these functions in the amplitude of the photoproduction process. (author)
