Eight-band model for iron arsenides: Functional renormalization group study

Description
We analyze an effective two-dimensional eight-band model for LaOFeAs and SmOFeAs within a functional renormalization group (fRG) approach. Upon varying parameters from LaOFeAs to SmOFeAs, we find an increasing critical scale for superconducting instabilities, while the critical scales of spin-density wave ordering change only by a small amount.
