Description

A novel Nuclear Track Microporous Membrane (NTMM) has been developed by the irradiation of appropriate material with alpha radioactive source instead of using the heavy-ion from nuclear reactor or accelerator. Its production cost is greatly reduced. The new NTMM has holes with profile of single conical form instead of conventional cylindrical form. This leads to the obvious rise of filtration rate and reduction of plugging phenomenon. New NTMM shows great potential for further spreading the application of NTMM in various fields. (Author)
